over poop!
Yes, poop. While changing Nathan's diaper today, he suddenly announced the he had to go poopy, jumped up, ran to the bathroom, and went poopy on the potty! Whoa! So proud of my little boy!
And my dear sweet Madison was so helpful today. We were babysitting a friends' baby and Madison was so sweet and loving. More importantly, when the two babies napped, Madison allowed me to rest on the couch without interruption for over an hour. Nathan decided in the middle of the night last night that he wanted a 4 hour chunk of mommy time. So between that and a headache, I wasn't feeling too hot. This is a milestone for my child who loves nonstop entertainment. She was so independent...it made me realize how quickly she's growing up!
Because of my two proud moments today, we took the kids out for ice cream tonight. No, it doesn't matter that it was pitch black outside, 25 degrees and snowing. They deserved it!

I love days like this. Big hugs to Madison for taking care of her mommy and a high five to Nathan for being such a BIG boy and using the potty. Maybe he'll help squash those rumors that boys are harder to potty train than girls!
Wow! He's not wasting any time, is he? That's great and no way...it's absolutely not true about boys. Brennan was super easy, especially since he was motivated to try. Bladder control in boys takes a little bit longer to develop, which makes for some very wet messes.
